Originally formed in 2013 as “Hound", the original lineup consisted of Keith Hernandez on bass, Dominic Torres on drums, and Jake Navarra on guitar and vocals. The trio recorded and released The Ether EP in 2016 focusing on desert rock driven riffs and grungy blues licks. After several lineup changes in the following years Jack Stiles joined on drums and Stephen Rogers on bass and keys. This new and refreshed lineup explored multiple tunings and influences ranging from doom metal, blues rock, and classic rock then officially expanding the name to “Phantom Hound” in 2018 and collectively focused on self-releasing their debut album "Mountain Pass" in 2020, and followed it up with their sophomore release "From Boom Town To Ghost Town in 2024" on Glory or Death Records with producer Chris Hughes. 2025 brought significant change for the band. After seven years, multiple west coast tours and two full length LPs both Stephen Rogers and Jack Stiles stepped down from their rhythm positions paving the way for Carter Ochi to step in on bass and Waqar Khan on drums. Additionally, founding member Jake Navarra underwent a 12 month medical journey during this time to participate in a life changing clinical trial to obtain a cure for Hereditary Angioedema, a life threatening liver born blood disorder that has plagued him since birth. Upon taking the time to rebuild the band from the inside out they kicked off 2026 on a high note as they embarked on a 13 date tour to Texas and back alongside
