Artist
Winner of the 2002 "Stan Coster Memorial Award" for Young Songwriter of The Year. Finalist in the "Rising Star" category at the 2002 "Australian Independent Country Music Awards." Finalist in the "Tamworth Songwriters Association, New Songwriter Award." 2003. Born in to a musical family. At the age of 19 Peter started singing at concerts in clubs and at talent quests with his parents as "The Pratt Family" and as a solo artist. Peter's musical influences range from Bing Crosby to Marty Robbins and Gene Autry, but with a very a Australian flavour. Whether he is singing a catchry light hearted ditty like his single, "That's A Good Idea" or a heart rending ballad "Last Eight for Billy", his music evokes a sense of times when people sat around the kitchen by the wood stove or campfires under the stars to tell their stories and sing their songs. As a singer/songwriter, his attendance at the CMAA College of Country Music in 2001 was a turning point in Peters career. Peter Pratt is unique in an industry that cries out for individual character and undeniable talent. You'll want to hear his music again and again.
