Peter Busboom is a highly accomplished guitarist and composer based in San Francisco. Known for his atmospheric new age and jazz-fusion sound, Peter’s guitar playing often draws comparisons to Pat Metheny. But Peter’s style is very much his own – he likes to relax his listeners with a chill groove, then perk up their ears with a provocative, tangy riff. Born and raised in Germany, Peter began playing guitar at the age of fifteen, and by his early twenties he was already a working musician, which led to him joining the German rock/funk outfit Turman & Dveight. In the years since, Peter has lived in New York City, Los Angeles and Sydney, where he’s played in bands, recorded albums and composed film soundtracks (The House on Black Lake, The Master Plan and Nam). He’s also written music for television commercials. Reise Ins Ich, The Beginning and Klangart are three of Peter’s most acclaimed albums, with “Rainmode” and “One Night in Baghdad” among his best-known songs. “Rainmode” is an evocative, mysterious-sounding meditation on the tragedy of September 11th, while “One Night in Baghdad” is a trance-like track that was featured on the NPR program All Songs Considered. Recently, Peter has been attracting attention for his song “Friday Afternoon in San Francisco,” a laid-back instrumental with a George Benson-esque vibe. Peter has also created sounds for art festivals worldwide, including “Stairs 2 Heaven,
