PETE SHAMBROOK left the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia in 1986 to pursue a music career. “I had been a believer for 6 years before I even knew what worship was,” confesses Pete, “I just found the music cheesy.” The turning point came in 1992 when Pete visited Newport Vineyard. “I looked around at the joy and peace on their faces and thought, whatever they’ve got I want it. The following week I wept throughout the service and God spoke to me.
