pet yeti is the solo project of Iain Gillespie (they/them), the bassist, vocalist and lyricist of Bears In Trees, previously involved in The November Criminals. Unlike these two bands, pet yeti takes on a more electronic style. They released an EP - happy birthday anna !!! - in the early summer of 2023, before releasing another EP and a few more singles over the rest of the year. They released their debut album, the death of hank, in early January of 2025, made after the sudden collapse of a four-year relationship. Whilst most of their music is available on Spotify, some of their older releases were exclusive to Soundcloud, and some of their 2025 releases are exclusive to Bandcamp.
