A curious and obscure combo formed in Leicester, Midlands in 1966, Pesky Gee signed to Pye in 1968 and soon began to make a name for themselves in the underground prog-rock arena, releasing Exclamation Mark in 1969 as their first and last full-length LP. The band soon shifted its bluesy hard rock underpinnings towards a more contemporary -- 1970 marks Black Sabbath's debut -- interest in Satanism and occultism, which led Pesky Gee to its ultimate transformation into Black Widow User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
