This project comes to be on may 2015 in Tijuana Mexico, when Gabriel de la Mora and Jorge Luis Osuna start composing their own material aiming for a sound they could call their own. After adopting the name Perra Galga they recruited two more members, which would help them on their goal to create a unique sound. To cover the rhythm guitar slot, the band recruited Jorge Castro, having Radiohead and jazz as his main influences, he provides the rhythmic base for the sound textures created by Gabriel to rest upon. Hugo Dantés, active member of the post-rock band “Spilman”, took on bass and synthesizer. Each member has different influences, and they’ve been able to fuse them to create a sound that is truly recognizable. Their most notable influences are: shoegaze, noise pop, jazz, hip hop, post rock, krautrock, electronic music, among many others. Due to their extensive set of influences, they have participated in different events. No matter the scene or the genre, Perra Galga always has an audience willing to check them out.
