The Peppa Marriti Band was born at Santa Sofia d'Epiro, a little town of Albanian origin in the province of Cosenza. The main idea of the band is to combine the roots of rock music with the "Arberesh" culture and tradition (Italian-Albanian). It has participated in many important national festivals like Arezzo Wave, Adriatico-Mediterraneo, Sonica, Tavagnasco rock, Ampollino Sound, Festa della Musica ecc. ecc. The songs contained into the CD "Rockarberesh" and "Kendò!" are broadcasted, besides many local and national radio, by Radio Tirana from Albania, Radio West and Radio Urban FM from Kossovo, Radio Iliria from London (England). There fore, the components of the band have participated in many TV programmes like "La storia siamo noi" on Rai 3/Rai Educational and "Levante" on Rai 3.
