Peal (USA) For three years Peal has been wearing a groove in the interstate between Indianapolis and any city within a days drive, delivering their acoustic-driven rock to a growing audience, in every type of venue imagineable. "We kind of don't fit in anywhere, which means we can pretty much play everywhere". says Wilsbach about the band's versatile sound, which carries the deep emotion and lyrical relevance of the singer/songwriter genre, but is delivered by the upbeat and infectious energy of an alternative rock band. Whatever venue they played, whether to thousands at Louisville's 4th Stret Live, and Kansas City's Beaumont Club, or to a handful of regulars at a brewpub in Goshen, In and a sports-bar in Lexington, KY, they saved every dollar that didn't go into the van's gas tank to eventually record and self-release a CD in the summer of 2006. That self-produced and released CD has been making an impact that is typically reserved for bands who have the muscle and bankroll of a label behind them. Peal has been rubbing elbows with the likes of Dave Matthews, Ray LaMontagne, G. Love, Amos Lee, Sufjan Stevens, Mute Math, and others while gaining some high-profile kudos for their debut CD.
