The Peabody Institute conservatory was founded almost 150 years ago at Johns Hopkins university. The conservatory is considered one of the leading music conservatories in the world, boasting a renowned faculty and students from across the globe. The orchestral division of the conservatory comprises of two full symphonic orchestras. The symphonic orchestra is drawn from post-graduates while the concert orchestra contains under-graduates.
