Pax Vobis was a short-lived, but an influential New Wave band in Iceland in the early eighties. (1983-1984) Pax Vobis's self titled album (and only album for that matter) was released in 1984. It is perhaps most notable for its attempts at a crossover between New-Wave (New Romantic) Pop and Fusion, with Skuli Sverrisson's distinctive fretless bass playing and heavy analog synthesizer overlay. Also the lyrics were in English, which was quite unusual for an Icelandic band in the post punk era of the 1980's .. The album was recorded and produced by Tomas Tomasson in Grettisgat Studio. Band Members: Asgeir M. Saemundsson (Geiri Saem): Vocals, Keyboards/Synthesizers Skuli Sverrisson: Basses Steingrimur Oli Sigurdarson (Steingro): Drums/Percussion Thorvaldur Bjarni Thorvaldsson: Guitar/Guitar Synths User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
