Paulus POTTERS composer, pianist, singer-songwriter and producer was born the 19th of August 1959 in Goirle in Brabant a province in the south of the Netherlands. About 7 years old Paulus started to play the recorder but he switched to piano first as an autodidact in his teens. He started taking piano lessons allowing him to experiment and improvise. He was able to expand his knowledge of musical composition. After graduation from grammar school, Paulus studied musicology at the University of Utrecht. Later he enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Tilburg. In 1986 Paulus graduated in piano and arranging at the Rotterdam Conservatory. His first LP "The Argonauts" was released in 1988. From 1991 and 1993 he wan SEVEN awards for his compositions in the categories pop and jazz at the "BILLBOARD SONG CONTEST" in Oklahoma U.S.A. The members of the jury were Julio Iglesias, Iron Maiden, Jose Feliciano and many other prominents. His first CD "Unified" for the famous Dutch jazz label Timeless was released in 1993.
