Born in 1962, Paul W. Austin has grown up with music. His Mother was a Piano and Organ teacher and has been playing for more than 65 years. Paul’s brother worked for a music shop in Des Moines, IA repairing, playing and teaching guitar, banjo and mandolin. His Sister taught classical piano and plays the steel flute. From a very young age Paul has been immersed in music and has pursued classical and Spanish guitar. Today, Paul plays the Native American Flute. He finds this instrument very soothing and feels that it brings a sense of piece to all who listen. Although not of Native American decent, Paul still enjoys the rich musical heritage of the Native American and is deeply honored to help keep the tradition alive and well.
