A San Francisco native, Paul has performed electric and acoustic jazz bassoon with Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Wayne Shorter, Medeski Martin and Wood, Jonas Hellborg, Omar Sosa, Peter Erskine, Joel Harrison, Don Byron, Dennis Chambers, Paul McCandless, Dave Binney and more. He has won international recognition for his bassoon playing, composing and instructional materials in the world of the double reed. Paul has also performed with such diverse groups as the Paul Dresher Ensemble, Eddie Money, DAVKA, The Klezmorim, soloist with Napa Symphony Orchestra and jazz soloist with the Oakland East Bay Symphony Orchestra.
