EARLY YEARS Paul Gilmore aka Polychronis “Paul” Pastourmatzis, began his musical journey in the mid 90′s, when he was exposed into house music. The old MTv UK days and Prodigy’s “Music for the Jilted Generation” were the reasons that motivated him to move beyond the stereotypes and seek further musical knowledge. Soon enough he was involved in DJing and turntables spinning records in his hometown Thessaloniki Greece. LIFE ABROAD Moving to the UK for studies in the late 90′s, opened up his horizons in music, where he found him self in the motherland of all music electronica. The English club scene, BBC’s Radio1, the electronic music festivals, have had an immediate impact on his perception. After gaining enough experience and an academic degree, he returned to Greece in 2003 where he he was involved in the local DJ scene. He organized and played in several events, highlighting his guest appearance in Pristhina, Kosovo in 2004. MUSIC PRODUCTION Music production followed up, and he made his first debut as Undertide in 2004. Started collaborating with artists around the world, through the world wide web, which was becoming quite the hip thing. He came along way since then, evolving his production skills and improving his diversity to styles and genres. Paul Gilmore has never been focused only in one musical preference, although that has to be house and the sub-genre of progressive house.
