Making his live debut with an acoustic track at a North London Heavy Metal Jam Night, Paul Cruse has always seemed to fly in the face of the conventional. Too nervous to oblige the loud shouts for an encore, he nevertheless returned to the same venue years later, only this time with a Norwegian African, acoustic guitars in tow, alternating English verses with the African Lingala of his new found compatriot, for the first live rendition of Honey Tree. The wish expressed in Honey Tree was eventually filled when the song was chosen as one of the Tracks for 2005's 'Africa' compilation, released in Johannesburg, where Paul attended on a 24 hour visit for another live rendition.
