Artist
Paul Celan wrote poetry that manages to be lyrical while sometimes skirting the edges of comprehensibility. His parents died in one of the Nazi death camps, not certain it was Auschwitz. He himself jumped into the river Seine in Paris in 1970, aged 49. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
