Patryk Scelina was born in 1984 in a small town in Poland called Bystrzyca Klodzka. He was interested in music, computers and film from his early age. He owes his first musical experiments to a toy keyboard and Atari computer. As a child he paid attention mostly to film and pop music. Michael Jackson was his very first idol and the most important films for him were „Star Wars” and „Back to the future”. Film music has had a major influence on him since the the very beginning - despite the fact that it was happening quite unconsciously in that time. Patryk started a music school but his rebellious nature prevented him from graduating it and finally he has never got a music education. However it did not stop him from making music. Since he was twelve he has created music with some simple music software. During his education in high school, in '90s, he founded a band called "The Smilies" with his friend Paweł Rosenbeiger. Inspired by artists such as: FatBoy Slim, Chemical Brothers, Prodigy, Freestylers and Lo Fidelity Allstars they were creating dance music in popular styles at that time: BigBeat, Break Beat, House etc. The music of "The Smiles" was promoted by Pepsi Faza initiative in Polish music channel VIVA ( part of MTV Network) and a radio. It was one of the first programmes which has started to promote Indie artists. Song called "Calm Beat in a Hall With a Crowd" was number two in Polish chart of Pepsi Faza.
