Patriot Proklamasi (The Patriot of Independence Proclamation) is a noise project from Indonesia. It is a propaganda machine under the provision of the Office of Communication (Kementerian Penerangan). It is another unvisible hands of the New Order besides 'Safari Ramadhan', Penataran P4, Normalisasi Kehidupan Kampus dll. It was the most unseen, obscene and, yet, powerful hegemonic tool. With the collapse of the New Order in 1998, Patriot Proklamasi, like any kind of forgotten defenders of Orde Baru (Pemuda Pancasila, Front Pembela Islam, Ikatan Pemuda Karya, Golongan Karya etcetera), decided to rise like the first sun of the year. It's aim was to resurrect the patriotism and pride of the people of Indonesia and, in the same time, to show the people that Orde Baru has not yet, in any sense of the word, dead. It only slept like the giant of the Javanese mountain. Patriot Proklamasi, hereby, attest you, the people of Indonesia, to this very fact!
