Patrick Zimmerli from New York is saxophonist and "Modern Creative" jazz composer. A prolific composer, Zimmerli (http://patrickzimmerli.com) has written two Piano Concertos, two Piano Trios, numerous solo, chamber, and vocal pieces, and over 40 pieces for his ensemble Emergence, featuring jazz saxophone, string quartet, world percussion, and electronics. As a jazz saxophonist, Zimmerli has worked with many of his generation’s luminaries, including Brad Mehldau, Ethan Iverson and Reid Anderson of the Bad Plus, Larry Grenadier, Ben Monder, Scott Colley, Bill Stewart, John Hollenbeck, and Jeff Ballard, as well as bandleaders Mike Stern, Joey Baron, Mark Dresser, Thelonious Monk, Jr., Don Sickler, and Jeff Williams.
