Ornette Coleman, no stranger to collaborating with electric guitarists, and Pat Metheny, a powerful improviser on electric guitar and guitar synthesizer combine forces with Charlie Haden (bass), Jack DeJohnette (drums), and Denardo Coleman (drums and percussion) put together a unique sound. 20 years after the initial release, Pat Metheny, remixes the sessions and includes more material in a twentieth anniversary release of Song X to the delight of Metheny and Coleman fans.
