Artist
Paris Grey (born Shanna Jackson, November 5, 1965, Glencoe, Illinois, United States) is an American singer, most known for her work with the Detroit based, techno music producer Kevin Saunderson, as Inner City. The group found international crossover success in the late 1980s with a mixture of electronic beats, sweeping synthetic strings, and Paris' soulful vocals on tracks such as "Good Life", "Big Fun", and "Ain't Nobody Better". Grey recorded three Inner City albums, a Detroit techno compilation album, and an extended mix collection of Inner City tracks. A notable project for Grey prior to joining Inner City was the Chicago House 12-inch club hit "Don't Make Me Jack (Tonite I Wanna House You)" on Housetime Records. Originally, Grey sang gospel music.
