Artist
Parasite Flock, now dead and gone, was a band project of five young enthusiastic boys: Sakari Heikkilä (vocals/guitar), Toni Asp (guitar), Paavo Toiviainen (guitar), Anssi Kinnunen (bass) and Jyri Kaivosoja (drums). The band was active in 2000-2001 during which they threw several gigs in their hometown, Pietarsaari. The band broke up in autumn/winter 2001 mainly because of puberty, but there were also conflicting views on how to develop the band. Also, some band members wanted to focus on other projects. Their last gig at Pietarsaari School Park (22.8.2001) was a total rock orgy and probably their bestest concert ever. For example, cars were used in the show in style of U2's Zoo-TV[2]. Nowadays Parasite Flock is known for being the first real band for Sakari Heikkilä - a successful solo artist (http://www.last.fm/music/Sakari+Heikkil%C3%A4) and the lead singer for Aallonmurtaja (http://www.last.fm/music/Aallonmurtaja). Luckily, his singing has developed from those days. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
