Parading is the love child of two High School friends Tomas Barry (guitar/vocals) and Tom Coleman (drums) the only people in a sea of all boy mindsets and homophobia who listened to The Stooges and The Velvets. After Jamming fruitlessly for some time with a bass player, the amazing Mark Nelson (The Stabs, Kelley Stolz, Miniature Submarines) took up bass duties and made Parading a proper band. Taking inspiration from some of Australia's finest (The Scientists, Rowland S. Howard, The New Season, X, Alex Jarvis, The Stabs, Zond) and some good shit from overseas (The Jesus and Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine, Spacemen 3, Crazy Horse, Bob Dylan, Band of Gypsies, 13th Floor Elevators, The Doors) Parading could be said to fit in somewhere between Punk Rock and Deep Psychedelia. A 7-inch has been recorded (and eagerly awaiting release) at 3CR with the help of Michael Smith and Alex Jarvis.
