Parachute Words started as the bedroom recordings of Martino Gasparrini. Inspired by other Bandcamp artists such as Frankie Cosmos, Car Seat Headrest and (Sandy) Alex G he started to release numerous albums onto the platform. Slowly the project developed into a full live band based in London, with Martino on guitar and vocals, Ollie Cox on bass, Tony Lea on guitar and George Barker. Inspired by home recordings and American DIY indie, the band has now released more the 6 albums onto Bandcamp and in 2019 has started a run of monthly singles which sees more musicians collaborate on the official recordings.
