What? Papercup is an Indonesian rock trio formed in the middle of 2010. The word "Papercup" itself comes from The Beatles' Across The Universe, "words are flowing out like endless rain into a paper cup, they slither wildly as they slip away across the universe." simple as that. Who? Papercup are consisted of Berry Choresyo on drums, Achmad Jati Santoso on guitar, and Aditya Diveranta on bass. Each of us has different influences. John Bonham much influences Berry in playing drum, Pete Townshend, Jimi Hendrix, and Joe McDonald influences Santos in screaming his guitar also singing habit, and Aditya much influenced by Jaco Pastorius, and John Paul Jones in playing bass. When? We're formed in 28 May 2010. Where? Born & raised in the suburbs of Jakarta, we write songs together and also arrange the music by ourselves. Why? Because Papercup plays unusual sounds from musical instruments that, we know, conventional. Try to listen to our songs, we believe all of them will represent your mood. Other than that, we play song that "sounds", in the meaning, we play songs that has meaning to be submitted to you, including criticism to the government, the inner conflict within a person, and many other things. How? It's all started from Berry Choresyo, who really passionate in doing music things since in early senior high school.
