Paolo Ingrosso (Pisa, 1980) is a guitarist and a composer of contemporary and electroacoustic music. He graduated in Classic guitar in 2004, and in Electronic Music in 2006 (Accademia Internazionale della Musica, Milan). In 2007 he fulfilled his MA in Composition at the Conservatory of Bologna. He specialized in composition under the guide of Claudio Vaira, Francesco Carluccio, Claudio Ambrosini and in electronic music with Alvise Vidolin, Michele Tadini and Paolo Aralla. As a guitarist Paolo performed in several Concert Seasons either as a soloist and in groups. His works have been both nationally and internationally performed. Among the others, Ztirf (for electric and acoustic guitar, bass, keyboard and drums), written and performed in 2002 for C.E.L. Theater (Livorno), Stars & Comets (solo guitar) recorded in 2003 by Fabio De Ranieri for the album Tempi... moderni, ConvErGO (for flute, clarinet, violin, cello, piano and percussion) performed in 2005 by ExNovo Ensemble (Milan). He produced and supervised the live electronics performance of Sosta nel sottopasso ( “A pause in the subway”): a sound installation by the poet and multimedia artist Alessandro De Francesco, premièred at the Universität der Künste (Berlin) in July, 2006. With De Francesco he realized performances and readings with live electronics for the 10th Italo – French Festival Primavera dei Poeti and for Arezzo Poesia (both June 2008). He currently lives in Bologna, where he works as a Guitar and Music Theory
