Palantyr is a French speed and heavy metal band hailing from Thionville, in the Moselle region near the German and Luxembourg borders. Formed in 2014 under the original name Destrukt, the band rebranded to Palantyr in August 2024 to better reflect their evolving sound and identity. Drawing inspiration from classic heavy metal traditions while pushing forward with modern ferocity, Palantyr blends blistering speed metal riffs, epic melodies, and raw aggression, often evoking influences like Sweden's Mystik, Canada's Smoulder, and acts such as Blood Star, Tower, and Iron Griffin.
