Padovani’s Death officially began in July, 2009 as the solo project of Guilherme Padovani, bassist for Moji das Cruzes, Brazil-based rock band Topsyturvy. Padovani has also performed in several other Moji das Cruzes’ bands, including Motocontínuo, noupe and Low Stop. The project deals with the concept, the idea of death. According to Padovani himself, “death is not always something bad. We live to die. Every action we take, every drink, every cigarrete, every sex, whether pleasureful or not, takes us closer and closer to our final and definite moment: death”.
