Pablo Held (*27.12.1986) grew up in a family of musicians in Hagen. His parents brought him into contact with music from various backgrounds at an early age. At the age of four he received his first drum lessons, at the age of ten he switched to the piano and at the age of 18 he began his jazz piano studies in Cologne with John Taylor and Hubert Nuss, which he completed with distinction. Pablo attracted attention above all with the music of his trio, his large ensemble GLOW, and the collaboration with John Scofield, but is also active as a sideman in various projects of the European jazz scene. Concert tours have taken Pablo to the USA, China, Korea, England, Ireland, Colombia, Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, Greece, Turkey, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Russia, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Estonia, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Holland, Switzerland, Austria, Luxembourg... He has worked with jazz greats such as John Scofield, Chris Potter, Dave Liebman, Tom Harrell, Chris Speed, Jorge Rossy, Jim Beard and many others. Pablo Held can be heard on over 30 recordings.
