PNAL (also PNal or P Nal) is a Romanian electro-rock group hailing from Timisoara, founded in the summer of 1999. Their name stands for 'Play Now, Argue Later' but also means 'distasteful' in Romanian slang. The project was started by Dragan and Claudiu, close highschool friends, but now the group comprises four band members: Dragan (vocals), Dan (guitar), Horia (bass) and Dr. Dan (samples). Initially a breakbeat project, their sound evolved throughout the years into a heavy and solid fusion of alternative rock and dance electronica, mainly drum'and'bass and breakbeat. In 1999 the tracks "Forme si Fonduri" and "De ce nu vorbesc pestii" reached the top position in Besonic's European drum and bass chart. Their live appearances include the TMBase festivals and compilation release parties from 1999 to 2007, StudentFest (Timisoara's Stundent Festival) in april 2000, DJing for two of the Fused Series parties in 2000 and 2001 as well as the Out of Control breaks party in Timisoara, March 2003 or live performances at Sentier des Halles, Paris 2006.
