Los Angeles, United States P.U.L.P. Sound is a production duo from Los Angeles. The acronym P.U.L.P. of P.U.L.P. Sound stands for "Positive Unaffected Licit Pound," which briefly describes their musical style. Cousins Kenny Smith and Adam Black also known as Ksmith and Asimov Black use the group to showcase their production and songwriting skills along with their musical personalities. Before the side project took shape, Ksmith and Black had been establishing themselves by working with numerous up and coming artists in Southern California while mastering their craft. Whether they were working with rappers, smooth crooners, or Pop vocalists their distinct sound and attention to detail was always present. The side project was born a straight Hip-Hop act, but they steadily evolved into a more layered affair, mixing new age drum patterns, sound manipulated synths, melodies and vocals to become its own sound. The first project to be released is called “Genesis” it is an EP that’s planned to be released late summer 2012 on the indie label “Upur Class” as a debut of the duos talents.
