Artist
P.A.G.A.N. (or Pure Acid Gabba And Noise) was the alias used by Jason Phillips during the mid to late 90's whilst he released hardcore techno, gabber, speedcore, drum & bass and breaks releases on various 12 inchs, albums & mix CD's. P.A.G.A.N. was born in South East London, England and musical tastes began in the early 80's through hip hop, breakdance, electro to the 90's early rave and techno scene, to the mid 90's jungle era all the way to the drum & bass scene to it is today. P.A.G.A.N. was also into electronica and more FSOL orientated mellow ambient sounds and was heavily influenced by the bristol scene, especially Massive Attack and Portishead. The music he released and did not release was always tailered to the heaviest, fastest darkest sounds possible and exploring the boundaries of speed and noise in modern dance music. He is no longer quite so angy sounding these days. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
