Pólo Norte (Portuguese for "North Pole") is a pop/rock band from Belas, Sintra, Portugal, born in 1992 out of Honoris Causae. As of 2007, Pólo Norte are: Miguel Gameiro (vocals), Tó Almeida (guitar), Marco Vieira (bass), João Gomes (keyboards) and Luís Varatojo (drums). Miguel Gameiro is the only member who has been with Pólo Norte since the origins, as well as writing the majority of the songs. Their most successful album is "Deixa o Mundo Girar" (Let the World Turn Around), containing successful singles as "Deixa o Mundo Girar", "A Dança" (The Dance) and "Pele" (Skin).
