De Ovens van Ondank was a post-punk band from Zeist [Netherlands] entirely inspired by Joy Division. Ovens van Ondank 1982-1983 Initial occupancy MAKZ (vocals, guitar, electronics), Robo (bass), Bart (drums). Bart was later replaced by Frank. MAKZ is the same as Max B. 667/GOD and later by the Avengers. In 1983 Harry was there to electronically distorted accordion. That was unprecedented, a punk band with an accordion! The rehearsal room was in the front room of a squat in Zeist, fully lined with egg cartons. After persistent complaints was around the studio moved to the basement. The ovens have occurred at least twice, and an audiotape released on Burplabel. First gig in 1982 in NV-house (Tivoli), the second act Dec. 17, 1983 in SSR (now Ekko) with Alerta. This last performance ended in a lot of noise that echoes MAKZ the mechanical unit of the accordion hit hard against his forehead. Gave a noise like a violent storm had broken. The songs were mostly Dutch and a sadness that does well at a funeral. Like the name of the band, the songs were incomprehensible, but mood enhancing.
