Mike Goldense writes and performs music under the name Our Twilight Pastime. While his recordings often utilize a full-band aesthetic, his performances are stripped to the singer/songwriter essentials: an acoustic guitar and, at times, a harmonica. With influences ranging from the Descendents and Against Me!, to Elliott Smith and Iron & Wine, to the Beach Boys and Bob Dylan, Goldense's music infuses the melodic nature of his influences with a strong passion for the music he plays--often making it feel as if a band were right behind him, even for his stark, fingerpicked numbers. Because he records his music himself, Mike often posts his new music on his myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/ourtwilightpastime With a few EPs and a split under his belt, Mike put out his first full length in early 2006, titled Terra Firma.
