about

Truly a bizarre musical experiment gone array, as the name can testify, “Other Nature” is a five-piece quintessential rock-out blues-funk band, currently residing in Isla Vista, California. Behind their “musical-exterior” lies an awe-inspiring connection to the Freaky Styley days of “The Red Hot Chili Peppers” heard through the upbeat-jams of “All is One” yet a undeniable quirkiness and lyrical-originality which would make even David Byrne shit his pants (“Telephone”). Consisting of Iggy Sharp, frontman-extraordinaire who runs the stage with the bravado of Robert Plant (yet sings much better evidently), Andrew Funk, the ever-so-daring lead guitarist best characterized as the spawn of Fruscinate himself, Charley “Bones” Rundel on Saxophone schooled in the discipline of Bebop and Jazz, Roscoe Lindstadt on electric bass and Ryan Silver on Drums, “Other Nature” has slowly spread their name in the Santa-Barbara musical scene and continue to do so with the free-loving funkadelic message of 70’s revivalist hippie-dom for all the world to see.
