Osta Love was started as a studio project by childhood friends Tobias GEBERTH and Leon ACKERMANN. After several years of playing blues and rock in their hometown Heidelberg, they moved to Berlin in 2010 and began recording more prog-oriented songs as OSTA LOVE. Due to the lack of other musicians, Tobi also provided keyboards, bass and vocals, additionally to his guitar playing. After releasing their first work 'COLOURS' as a download only in 2011, the duo began to look for live musicians and played some shows in Berlin. The two very young and talented guys, now studying musicology in Berlin, began writing and recording 'GOOD MORNING DYSTOPIA', which was crowd funded and self-released in 2013. 'GOOD MORNING DYSTOPIA' is the first full-length album by OSTA LOVE. The song cycle thematically deals with urban life, surveillance and escapism in the third millennium. The sonic palette ranges from heavy guitar riffs to fragile string arrangements and soundscapes, built on complex rhythms and unconventional song structures all influenced by their heroes PINK FLOYD and PORCUPINE TREE.
