Osmi Putnik Dva (Serbian translation for the cult horror classic Aliens; Also there is rumour going that they've called themselves this way to make fun of the hard rock Croatian band Osmi Putnik) are also known under these aliases 8PII, Osmi Putnik 2, Osmi Putnik Drugi Deo, 8P2, Osmi Putnik II. Band was founded in 1998 in Belgrade, Serbia, and very soon they have gained the reputation of one of the fastest bands on the hardcore/metal scene. 2000 saw the band release it's first album titled Kerber Je Mama (this time they made fun of famous Serbian hard rock band Kerber in the title of the album. "Kerber Is Awesome") Since then they have released 4 more albums (Drugi Album in 2002, 8PII in 2003, Krvavi Pir in 2005 and last one Treća Sofra was released in 2007.) They are well known for their speedy thrashing riffs and almost too loud to bear music onslaught all packed just in a few minutes in all of their songs, their lyrical themes are always about the horror movies and the creatures from them and also about black humour. Almost all of their shows are always full of rowdy headbanging and moshing maniacal fans. Osmi Putnik Dva shared stages with Napalm Death, Fullsize, Hitman, Šaht and many more domestic and foreign bands. 2008 saw the band mark their 10th year anniversary by playing 3 hour sets of their complete discography with small pauses in between them.
