Orphean Passage is sorrow rendered into sound. The band's name alludes to the greek myth of Orpheus, the legendary musician who travelled to the underworld in an attempt to save his wife Eurydice. The band began performing in June of 2022, offering a unique experience at each show. From performing in old Gothic theatres to the rustic Winelands of Stellenbosch, from a beer brewery in urban industria to an intimate show at a private beach house on the coastline of the Cape of Storms, overlooking the dark and stormy waves of their home. The band recorded their debut album 'Apart' throughout 2023. 'Apart' captures the essence of the first chapter of the band's story. It represents the struggles they have endured and overcome as individuals and as a collective to date.
