Born in Detroit, Orka Veer (real name Michael) first became interested in music after falling in love with the Nintendo computer game 'The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time'. Before long, he had taught himself to play piano and was experimenting with multi-track recording and improvisation. Following 2005's debut 'Sam's Solutions', Orka Veer released his second full-length album 'Slow Light' a collection of pieces he had been working on since the age of 15. It is currently available through this site. He currently lives in Queens, NY and plans to start performing in the near future.
