The All-Stars are a group of Richmond Virginia based musicians. The best and the most influential come together to play originally written funk influenced jams. Heavy horns and driving drums. There is absolutely no way an audience can sit still while this band of heavies plays. Fronted at times by original member Gordon T Jones on sax. Leadership is often passed around to other members from time to time to prevent the sound from loosing its locomotion. Band members move in and out of performances as many of them have out of town tour dates with other groups, as well. A live performance is never duplicated, and yet the fans have found something comforting in this long lived group playing together for close to 15 years of constantly evolving sound.
