Ordo Ecclesiae Mortis was an early Kirlian Camera side project. In 1985/86 Angelo Bergamini and Charlie Mallozzi had written some new tracks under the name Ordo Ecclesiae Mortis. They sent a tape of these recordings to the German producer legend Conny Plank. A few issues were considered: they could present the work as a Kirlian Camera release in conjunction with Plank and Virgin Records, or they could use the material as a side-project with just Plank. In Plank's opinion the tracks were alright, but he intented to reconstruct the tracks using his sounds, working with the band in Cologne. A short time later Plank arranged another meeting with the band in Catania where Angelo and Charlie found Conny very near death. This brought a tragic end to a dream so long pursued.
