about

The vocal sextet ordinarius, founded in 2008, is dedicated to a sophisticated repertoire. The arrangements are original and unique, written by the musical director Augusto Ordine. The group has just released its first CD, with classics of Brazilian popular music. The eclectic repertoire is enriched by percussion and covers national and international popular songs from the north-american pop of Stevie Wonder, the Beatles rock, to Johnny Alf’s bossa nova, Ernesto Nazareth’s choro and Gilberto Gil’s music. During its four years of existence, the group has performed in various places in Rio de Janeiro and toured arround the Rio de Janeiro State. The Ordinarius live performance is the opportunity to watch a great musical performance, marvel at the features that only vocal music has and, above all, have fun singing along with the group.
