With Orchid's freshman album Soul : orchidbeats.bandcamp.com hypnotic and heavily hardware-based recording techniques are used throughout the record as Orchid tries to stay away from computers and navigates through the sound spectrum with a microsampler,iphone and hardware synths like the yamaha PSS-680 (from the 80's).These heavily experimental tracks have often been described as "glitchcore", "triphop", "soul", "lofi" or anything from "eighties bedroom pop" to "ambient electronica" but Orchid simply calls his sounds "healing"... "This is just a form of healing for us,its healing,thats all it is; Love is all around you, feel it and it will heal.
