One Night Service is (currently) a project by Razlan and Bazli based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The band formed out of a talent competition during the Summer of 2010. Razlan, the gypsy, developed an emotional connection to music since the age of 3. Having played the bass for his previous bands, he began learning guitar off the streets. With influences from John Mayer, Corinne Bailey Rae and Jamie Cullum, Razlan dabbed into vocals; to date, he has only been singing close to 2 years now. Other than his music being a part of his soul, Razlan plays music for the purpose of releasing internal emotional intensity. He is currently pursuing his interest in trumpets, which will be a rich addition to the already musically talented group. Bazli, the bear, is the old classic rock sound to the group. He brings the upbeat to Razlan’s mellow, and if you’ve already seen them live – Bazli’s genius guitar solo will get you pumping. He started getting involved in music as early as 6 years old, with his most influential icon, Jimi Hendrix. He says, music is the only thing that calms him down – sort of like the savior to every burden that might come his way. Bazli also believes that music is unique to each that produces the sound, that is the artist, and this is his way of telling the world his story.
