One 2wenty One is comprised of two individuals whose stories are anything but typical. Cajuan Wright and Terrell Lamont met each other in the spring of ’98 while cutting class in high school to hone their musical skills. What started with a few chords on the piano, God transformed into a full-fledged production team, group and life-long friendship. Terrell draws his hip-hop musical influences from The Roots, Talib Kweli, Common, Lupe Fiasco, Jay-Z and many others. He also prides himself in making music that doesn’t sound like the typical cookie-cutter tracks you hear on mainstream radio. Terrell has been rapping since he was a pre-teen and when younger, he would battle anyone in the Twin Cities area to prove he was the best. A desire for fame, fortune and a hunger to be known as the absolute best drove him to pursue a career in the music industry. Cajuan Wright actually started his musical career with a pair of drumsticks and then took a stab at singing RnB and playing the piano. Loving many genres of music but never really feeling satisfied doing one thing, for a time he actually ceased doing anything musical and started running the streets with many less-than-honorable individuals. It was by a series of crazy events and God’s sovereign grace that put Terrell and Cajuan together. The two clicked instantly and collaborated on a few miscellaneous musical endeavors before coming to Christ and forming One 2wenty One. God has since changed the hearts of One 2wenty One. Both Te
