There are three bands called On Trial. 1. A Danish psychedelic rock band 2. An English punk band. 3. An American Oi! band 1. On Trial is a band from Copenhagen. It was founded in 1995 by some of the leading musicians of the Danish underground. The genre is psychedelic garage rock, whose recognition leads back to '60s bands such as 13th Floor Elevators, Love, The Dovers, The Deep, etc. 2. On Trial UK aka the On Trial Organization, formed in Reading, England, 2004 and were born from boredom , constraint and a need to fulfill themselves. They play a blend of 77 Punk/Garage Rock/90's skate punk. Mixing their love of horror, serial killing and sexual perversion into the lyrics, it all makes for for a great show. The band has had many lineups, but always with singer Johnny wah wah, previously the singer of HC punk band Glueball 3. On Trial started in January/February of 2007 with Ben and Wes. The first two songs written were "Friend or Foe" and "Unionize". They went about one year without a bass player until it dawned on them to just teach Sarah, Wes' girlfriend at the time, to learn bass since she was at every band practice anyway. They played three shows with Sarah and she ended up being their first official bass player. The band finished their first full length titled "Thirty Years Too Late," referring to how their vintage sound could have fit in well with other late '70s and early '80s Oi! bands.
