Over 4 years since Ominous DJ’s first stepped onto the UK Bhangra scene with 4Play Recordings releasing their last album, ‘Unfinished Business’, they now return with “Bas Kar”. The second album was undoubtedly a success; it was well received by the industry and described as “faultless”, taking the group to perform up and down the UK as well as abroad. The album was also used by DJ Rekha - one of the biggest DJ’s in the USA representing Bhangra to a mainstream level - who released ‘Panj Bindiyaan’ as part of ‘Basement Bhangra’. International recognition has compounded the belief that the group can reach worldwide audiences and has resulted in this second album featuring heavyweight vocalists Lembher Hussianpuri, Sharmilla, Master Saleem, and amongst many more, the young and promising vocalist from Birmingham – Jati Cheed. Their music style has evolved over the past two years as they have toured to different locations and different audiences, creating a fusion between their original Punjabi roots and the Urban style people look for. While this new style is present in the album, it is not to say the group’s own Ominous touch has been lost.
