Hailing from Scripps Ranch comes, Omegum Flegum, originally a math rock outfit heavily influenced by their friends in the band, Witt. OMFG is made up of three musicians, primarily being the brainchild of Alexander Bravo (guitar) or Shrub, but also includes music pioneer James Lake (percussion) and the madman Aaron Cote (bass). All members graduated from Scripps Ranch High School in 2010, having been friends for a long amount of time and being in bands together such as, Black Cloud Exchange, Falling Colors and Something Universal. Being from Scripps Ranch, they have friends in bands that are primarily punk or ska such as The Guze, So Far Gone and ADF. Currently all three members are in college; Shrub attends Mesa Community College, James attends Cal Arts majoring in Music Composition, and Aaron attends Cal Poly Pomona. They have released three EPs, the "OMFGEP", "2/19/11 EP", and "A Long Beard EP".They have also released a double album "Snipbindapibsters (Shrubpin' The Gun)" which is primarily an ambient album and is all free improvisational, straying from their math rock roots.
